The Photoflex StarLite QL is designed for use with a heat-resistant softbox. The (optional) long bulb extends directly into the center of the box, reflecting light evenly off all four sides. This maximizes both output and efficiency. The Starlite is a "flicker-free" light source, which provides a light quality that is soft, beautiful and natural looking, yet powerful enough for the demands of video or digital photography.

When sold as a single unit, the Starlite QL will accept an optional umbrella. If a heat-resistant softbox is to be used, a Starlite Connector (FV-BSLOCTOCON) is available separately. Lamps must also be purchased separately.

Although this fixture is supplied for use with 120 AC voltage, it can function with 220-240 voltage, with the appropriate optional bulb, and adapter plug -- available separately.

This is a Photoflex SilverDome NXT, Medium Softbox , 24 x 32 x 17" (61 x 81 x 43cm) . Photoflex makes a wide variety of softboxes for use on your strobes or hotlights. LiteDomes and MultiDomes are for use with strobes only. SilverDomes and HalfDomes may also be used with hotlights. All Photoflex softboxes require a Speed Ring Adapter, which must be purchased separately.

Choose a softbox according to the size of your subject. For example, a small or extra small is appropriate for a head-and-shoulders portrait, or a very small still-life such as a paperweight. A medium softbox is good for a half-length portrait of an adult. A large is suitable for a group portrait of 3 - 4 people.

Choose a softbox interior color for the lighting effect you want. White is the most universal, giving the most softening effect. Silver gives a little more punch and crispness. Gold (with the MultiDome only) adds that punch, with a warmer tone.

Note:Provide ample ventilation when using flash heads that have modeling lights. Do not use a modeling light higher than 300 watts with a LiteDome or MultiDome.

This Photoflex Speed Ring fits all OctoDomes, as well as the LiteDomes, MultiDomes, HalfDomes, SilverDomes, and WhiteDomes. One size fits all - accomodates any size OctoDome. It is manufactureed with superior quality - made with strong aluminum casting, and is original equipment for the Starlite fixture.

The Photoflex Lightweight Black Light Stand is designed to support small to medium size light fixtures, with umbrellas or softboxes up to 24 x 36 inches. It has three sections, two risers.

Mogul Base (E39) 1000 watt 120 volt clear, tubular bulb for the Photoflex StarliteQL, Chimera Lantern, or Westcott Spiderlite fixtures.

This is the Photoflex StarLite CoolStar 150 Fluorescent Lamp. It is the brightest CFL (Compact Fluorescent Lamp) available for photographic lighting. It is color balanced to 5600°K, allowing daylight balanced shooting.

Cool light operation allows for continuous lighting while using economical strobe-designed soft boxes. Its brightness is equivalent to 450-500W tungsten light, 8000 Lumens.

The Photoflex Transpac Single Kit Case is a wheeled, 600 denier polyester case with double stitched seams, rigid walls and hard plastic corners, made to carry and protect a single lighting kit. A single lighting kit can consist of a power pack, two heads, light stands, reflectors, umbrellas and accessories. The case has rigid walls and hard plastic corners for greater gear protection. Strong, self-repairing, oversized zippers are meant to take a lot of punishment on location. There is a sewn-in interior divider for separating more fragile gear, and movable interior panels for custom configurations. There is a stuff compartment on the top flap for secure stowage of fabrics. The bag can be carried by a top carry handle, dual carry straps with overlapping grip, and inline-style wheels for easy transport.
