The RAID Card from CalDigit is a PCI Express x8 host card that supports up to 16 drives in a RAID configuration. The card supports four internal drives and 12 external drives, giving you extreme flexibility in how you configure a RAID. It is compatible with drives that use the mini-SAS interface.
• High-Performance RAID
The card allows you to configured RAIDs in RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 50, 60, and JBOD. Four-drive arrays can transfer data at up to 330MB/sec in RAID 0 mode, 245MB/sec in RAID 5, and 165MB/sec in RAID 6.
• Battery Backup
The card includes a battery backup module. This module works to backup the data stored in the card's cache memory. This helps to prevent data loss in the event of a sudden power failure.
• Full Cross-Platform Compatibility
The card is compatible with Windows, Mac, and Linux computers. Connected drives can boot to any operating system. It even features full support for OS X's Boot Camp application.
