The LP-E6 Rechargeable Lithium-ion Battery Pack from CTA Digital is a battery designed for use with the Canon EOS 5D Mark II digital camera. It has a capacity of 1950mAh, so it is possible to shoot up to 850 shots at normal temperatures on a single battery charge. The battery is more compact and lighter in weight than previous battery models.
The included AC-DC is necessary to charge the battery; it will not charge in the Canon charger included with the camera. The included charger is compatible with standard AC power outlets as well as DC car "cigarette lighter" outlets. The battery does not support the usage tracking technology supported by the 5D Mark II.
Note! Camera's info screen will not indicate remaining battery capacity, and can not be charged with Canon's own charger
