The JBL LSR6328P is a robust (39 lbs.), biamplified, 2-way studio monitor speaker, housed in a sturdy, handsome cabinet with a dark graphite finish and a carefully damped and baffled interior. The 8", dual voice coil woofer and Waveguide-controlled 1" Titanium tweeter are powered by 250 and 120 Watt amplifiers, respectively.

JBL is one of our planet's premier speaker manufacturers, and the quality of this speaker's construction, along with the carefully calibrated, integrated amplification, ought to be reason enough to deserve a listen. But not for JBL. The LSR6328P features a uniquely ambitious rear panel set of tune and tone controls, that borders on the fanatical in sheer statistical density.

We are now recording and mixing in some strange and wonderful places, and these places may foster and nurture the creative spirit, but for critical listening these places often need sound treatment, and it doesn't get done. And that is why JBL stocked the LSR6328P with knobs and switches - to help us get good mixes in poor acoustic environments.

Now, all of this compensation for room modes, nodes, and standing waves, in bright, boomy, dull, fluttery, boxy, cavernous rooms, and all the other environmental acoustic aberrations that can make mixing a sad experience, does not come cheaply. But, the LSR6328P is designed very much for an age where a lot of music is recorded outside of the "proper" recording studio, and this speaker provides a certain reassurance that no matter where, and how strange, the space you're working in really is, you can fix it in the mix.

: • Biamplified 2-Way studio monitor with 250 Watt LF and 120 Watt HF amplification and active crossover

: • Advanced Linear Spatial Reference design for flatter off-axis response and increased clarity at mix position

: • Magnetically shielded tweeter for use in close proximity to computer monitors

: • EOS Waveguide technology for tweeter with wide uniform dispersion for smooth top end spatial response

: • Differential Drive technology features dual 1.5" voice coils for woofer with additional third coil in between, limits excess frequency excursion and reduces distortion for tighter low end at maximum levels

: • RMC(Room Mode Correction) rear panel electronic control section identifies and compensates for dominant low frequency standing wave in speaker's room response

: • RMC equalization corrects dominant LF room modes in 26 - 96 Hz tuning range

: • Input sensitivity and EQ DIP switches provide boost, cut and LF filtering, further correct and compensate for overly dull or bright listening environments

: • VLF(Very Low Frequency) High Pass filter switch further diminishes excess woofer excursion at maximum playback levels

: • Selectable boundary compensation switches correct low frequency and mid-bass buildup caused by close wall or corner speaker placement

: • VLF disable switch provides extended deep bass response below enclosure port tuning, allows subsonic signal monitoring

: • High-density baffling for enclosure lowers cabinet resonance and vibration

: • Reinforced enclosure with integral recessed handles and wall mounting points

: • XLR and 1/4" balanced and unbalanced input connectivity

: • Auto-sensing 100-230 VAC, 50/60 HZ switchable power supply for transformer-free international use
