Alesis io/Control - 12 Input / 2 Output FireWire Interface and Control Surface - Mac OS X and Windows XP

The io|Control from Alesis is a combination FireWire interface and control surface. The interface provides two microphone and two line inputs, which can be used simultaneously to send four channels of audio to a computer, along with eight channels of ADAT Lightpipe. Monitoring is via two 1/4" TRS outputs and a headphone output.

The included jog wheel can be used to shuttle, zoom and enter data, while six, fully-assignable buttons provide functions for setting markers, loop points and automation modes. Four rotary controls, with continuous 360° rotation and three selectable layers, provide control of up to twelve parameters, such as volume, pan and auxiliary sends.

The io|Control can be powered via the FireWire bus, or with an external power supply. Cubase LE software is included and completes a package that gives professionals the ability to handle most recording tasks with ease.
