Bogen's RC2 quick release system is ideal for digital SLR cameras.  It allows quick mounting and dismounting of the camera from the tripod head.  A 3/8"-16 threaded socket with a 1/4"-20 reducer bushing allows you to use it on any tripod head.

In addition to the standard-issue plate with 1/4"-20 threaded camera screw, there's a nice selection of quick release plate options for the RC2 system including;
- A flat-topped plate with the larger 3/8"-16 threaded screw for select cameras.
- 'Architectural' plates, which prohibit twisting while in the vertical orientation.
- The 200USS plate, designed exclusively for spotting scopes.
- The 341 elbow bracket, which allows changing between horizontal & vertical orientation without moving the tripod head.
