Product Information

The Sony DXC-390 is a 3-chip color video camera for security and industrial applications. It uses a 1/3-inch CCD that outputs 800 lines of resolution and quality video for scientific and industrial applications. The camera takes C- and CS-mount lenses.

Features

• 10-Bit Digital Signal Processor

The DXC-390 is a small camera with big camera features. The camera uses an advanced technology digital signal processor that allows sophisticated image controls. The Black-Stretch function permits greater detail in the darker sections of the scene. The Dyna-Latitude feature permits greater detail in the brightest areas of the scene. The user can enhance the look of the picture by transitory outline detail, color saturation, or hue saturation.

• High Signal to Noise Ratio

The advancements in video chips give more color and detail with less noise. The DXC-390 outputs an amazing 800 lines of resolution, enough for very fine details required when the camera is connected to a microscope or other medical/research device. With 62 dB of noise-free signal, the unit is very sensitive and has very low smear levels.

• Automatic Features

The DXC-390 has several automatic functions that make image quality consistent in diverse conditions. AE is auto exposure. AE controls the level of brightness by varying shutter, iris, and gain levels. Priority can be selected to any of those functions. Additionally, AE can be selected by area. Metering can be prioritized given 6 selectable areas.

• Versatile Shutter Functions

A variable electronic shutter is built into the CCD making it possible to capture blur-free images of high speed objects. Shutter speed range from 1/60 to 1/10,000 seconds. High-speed shutter make the DXC-390 applicable to machine vision applications.

• Scene File Memory

The camera can save custom set video parameters for later recall. There is memory for two sets of saved functions.

• Color Shading Feature

This function allows for color verification on a microscope.

• RS-232C Control

The camera has the 8-pin connector for software driven controls.
