Recognizing that the working musician often works without a sound crew, Mackie's intuitive DFX series mixers provide all one needs for smaller live sound applications. The Mackie DFX-12 features 12 balanced 1/4" TRS line inputs. Channels 1-4 are mono inputs while 5 through 12 are stereo paired. Inserts on channels 1 through 4 are also provided. 6 Ultra Low Noise mic preamps provide a low noise floor and high dynamic range on input. The DFX-12 features an internal 32-bit EMAC effects processor complete with reverb, chorus, flanger, delay effects and more. A 5 band graphic EQ is featured on the main stereo bus.

• 32-Bit Effects Processor

The Mackie CFX series features 32-bit custom EMAC effects processing featuring reverb, delay, chorus, flanger, phaser and more. Mackie Digital 8 Bus, EMAC 32-bit processing assures no loss in detail during processing.

• Vocal Eliminator

The DFX-12 features a vocal eliminator circuit that can remove lead vocals from pre-recorded material. Phase inversion reduces signal panned to the center of the mix while a notch filter reduces frequencies between 160Hz and 5kHz which represents the frequency range of the human voice. The result eliminates vocals well enough for karaoke use.

• Break Switch

The BREAK switch Mutes all channels eliminating the chance of any accidental signal while the mixer is unmanned. The only signal allowed passage is that of the 2 track input. This allows intermission music to be played while all other inputs remain off.
