The HG-503MX is Hakuba's high quality carbon fiber tripod, which is more rigid than aluminum with much better vibration dampening. The controls are easy to use; just a quarter-turn will open or close the twist leg locks, making for fast setup and takedown. The legs come with Urethane leg protectors on top section, for better handling in cold weather. Like all carbon fiber, the resistance to temperature extremes is far greater than metal due to the low specific heat capacity.
