The PXC 250 is a closed, dynamic supra-aural stereo headphone with NoiseGard active noise compensation. Active and passive attenuation of ambient noise allows the headphone to facilitate the enjoyment of music even in noisy environments. The noise reduction is focused more to the lower end of the aural spectrum reducing ambient noise by as much as 15dB for frequencies below 1kHz.

The noise-canceling circuitry and a pair of AAA batteries are housed in a separate battery pack. The headphone will operate without the battery pack or with depleted batteries, but will do so without noise compensation. A new super-lightweight design with ergonomic head-pads for perfect fit allows the form of the PXC 250 to collapse and lock in both an open and folded position. A convenient belt pouch and a two-pronged adapter for in-flight movies are included.
