The Nikon #6916 MC Series Fieldscope Digiscoping Kit allows digiscoping for the Coolpix 880, 885, 900 Series, 4300, 4500 & 5000 cameras.  Fabulous results can be expected!  This kit does not work with any zoom Fieldscope eyepiece, nor with any eyepiece without a helicoid-type eyecup.

In addition to this kit, you will need to purchase the proper F-series attachment ring for your Coolpix camera.  These include the #6920 F-CP5000(for the Coolpix 5000), the #6919 F-CP880(for the Coolpix 880), the #6918 F-CP885(for the Coolpix 885 & 4300) and the #6917 F/S-CP9XX(for the Coolpix 4500 and 900 series).

Be sure to take precautions against sharpness-destroying vibrations:  use a sturdy tripod with a video-type pan/tilt head as well as your Coolpix's remote control or wired cable release if one exists.

• MC Series Eyepieces Held Firmly In Check by FSA-1 & FSA-2

The fixed magnification MC series eyepieces fit within the 'sandwich' of the FSA-1 & FSA-2, with the FSA-1 side towards the portion of the eyepiece which screws into the Fieldscope.  Unscrew the FSA-1 & FSA-2, place the eyecup-side of the MC series eyepiece towards the inside of the FSA-2, screw the FSA-1 onto the bottom of the FSA-2 and attach the entire assembly to the Fieldscope.

• FSA-3 Completes the Puzzle

The FSA-3 clamps on to the outside of the FSA-2, and screw a Coolpix-specific digiscoping attachment(#6917, 6918, 6919 or 6920) to the opposite end(towards observer) of the FSA-3 to affix the entire assembly to Coolpix 880, 885, 900 Series, 4300, 4500 or 5000 digital cameras.  Adjoin the FSA-3 & Coolpix-specific attachment before clamping on to FSA-2.
