If you need soft light, this Altman Soft-Lite Tungsten 1-Light Kit is a good place to start.  A compact, lightweight design that provides an even wash of indirect, almost shadow-less light, this fixture can uniformly light an area 26.5' x 23.8' at a distance of ten feet with a center intensity of 96 footcandles. The Soft-Lite can operate 2 double-ended tungsten lamps of up to 1000 watts each, for 2000W of diffused lighting. An eggcrate light modifier is included for controlling and directing the light. The compact design makes this an ideal light for confined spaces where soft fill light is required.
