The Sony MDR-IF3000 wireless infrared headphones are available as an additional, or replacement set of headphones for that company's MDR-DS3000 wireless surround headphone system. These full-range headphones, featuring a 23' reception range and providing a full 90° angle of movement, are surprisingly lightweight and battery operated. The rechargeable NiMH batteries offer a 35 hr. operating life.

The MDR-IF3000 headphones are equipped with a dedicated rotary volume control knob and a mute function when no signal is present.The earpieces offer large 30mm drivers, ferrite magnets and thin PET diaphragms for optimized frequency reproduction and dynamic range.
