For starters, the remarkable Sekonic L-558R Dualmaster is the world's most sensitive multi-function meter, reading flash down to an astounding f2 (at ISO 100), twice as low as any other multi-function meter in production. 3. The L-558R features an extra large, cool-green illuminated full-information LCD panel that displays the complete range of readouts and modes as well as battery condition. It can memorize and recall up to nine readings in any mode, average them and display them individually on an analog scale.

• Spot with Digital Display

The L-558R DUALMASTER features a rectangular 1° parallax-free spot viewfinder. In dim or bright light situations, the L-558R's spot viewfinder displays f-stops, shutter speeds and more. The built-in spot meter measures both reflected ambient, flash or combined lighting. The optical finder also features an eyepiece with an adjustable diopter.

• Includes Plug-in Radio Transmitter Module

Electronic flash units and/or cameras can be triggered wirelessly with the optional plug-in digital radio Transmitter module (compatible with all PocketWizard Digital Radios).Simultaneous triggering and measuring of flash units up to 100 feet away is possible. With its new easy-to-use Selective Quad-Triggering control (4 zone lighting control), the L-558R offers quick selection of which flash unit to trigger and measure independently with a touch of a key. Now you can individually measure several flash units wirelessly by the touch of the meter's measuring button, without walking over to each light and turning it on or off.

• Memory Mode

Up to nine readings can be memorized in incident or spot metering modes independently in both Aperture and Shutter Priority Modes. The memory function of the L-558R provides the photographer with an effective way of retaining and analyzing shadow, midtone and highlight exposure readings.

• Full, 1/2 or 1/3-step Selectable Readings

Both shutter speeds and apertures can be displayed in either full, 1/2 or 1/3-step increments to match your film or digital camera; selecting these increments is quick and easy with custom software menu settings.

• Exposure, Calibration and Filter Compensation

Independent incident and reflected exposure compensation of up to +/-9.9 EV can be easily set for custom film exposure corrections or for bellows extension factors. With the calibration compensation setting of +/-1.0 EV, matching built-in camera meters or other handheld meters is a snap. There is even a filter compensation setting of +/-5.0 EV for filter factor compensation.

• Dual ISO Settings

The L-558R offers the flexibility of taking a single measurement and displaying the f-stop and shutter speed for two different ISO film speeds, such as negative film and Polaroid proofing film.

• Brightness Difference function

Displays the difference in exposure between a new reading and the last memorized measurement. It is expressed in precise plus or minus 1/10 step Exposure Values (EV) readout.
