The basic kits are an all-in-one solution for event videos, budget film work, budget broadcasting, Electronic News Gathering (ENG) and field production applications.

The Rode NTG-2 is the featured shotgun microphone in this kit. As standard in all Basic Kits, a universal shockmount, cabled boom pole, universal hand grip, Softie windscreen, short and long right angled XLR cables are all included to provide the user with everything necessary for capturing audio for video, film and field production applications.

• Rode NTG-2 Shotgun Microphone

The rugged Rode NTG-2 features a line plus gradient transducer and super-cardioid polar pattern for excellent rejection of off-axis signal. The durable metal housing withstands the rigors of use in the field. The NGT-2 is powered with an internal 1.5V AA size battery or an external +48 Volt phantom power source.

• Cabled Boompole

All basic kits include a high quality, durable cable-through boompole, eliminating excess cable runs that cause clutter and handling noise.

• Softie Windscreen

The included softie delivers the wind protection necessary for professional, noise-free recordings.

• Universal Shock Mount
