This Tamron Digital SLR Camera Lens Kit consists of two lenses, a wide-angle zoom lens and a telephoto zoom lens. The 28-80mm lens is a standard zoom lens that offers a view ranging from a wide 28mm to a medium telephoto range of 80mm. The use of aspherical elements in the front group reduces the number of elements required, and the use of strong engineering plastic in the barrel makes the body light. The Tamron AF 55-200mm f/4-5.6 Di-II LD is a high power zoom lens designed exclusively for digital SLR cameras using the more compact (APS-C) digital size image sensors. The focal length of this lens is equivalent to approx. 88-320mm in 35mm format. This compact, lightweight 55-200mm telephoto zoom lens is the ideal "second lens" in a complete lightweight digital camera lens system. The 55-200mm zoom lens realizes an MFD (Minimum Focus Distance) of 3.1 ft. (0.95 m) over the entire zoom range, the top level of the closest focusing distance among tele-zoom lenses. Since the maximum magnification ratio at f=200mm is 1:3.5, you can enjoy easy and convenient close-up photography. |
