The Nikon 7x50 ProStar Waterproof & Fogproof Porro Prism Binocular is a very bright astronomical binocular which, unlike higher-powered models which must be mounted on a tripod, may be comfortably hand held. Not normally considered for astronomical observation, a binocular with a large objective such as the ProStar will actually reveal large open star clusters and big, extended nebulae.
