Product Information

Entering into a historic partnership with the Lomographic Society International, Zenit has introduced the Horizon Kompakt and Horizon Perfekt Rotating Lens 35mm Panorama Cameras.

As a true panoramic camera, the Horizon's double-wide angle of view commands nearly two full 35mm frames. Everything around you is brought into the frame and rendered in absolutely stunning color and clarity.

Improvements that the Perfekt version has over the Kompakt version: variable aperture settings, variable shutter speed settings, tripod and cable release sockets, a built-in bubble level in the viewfinder, and a more ergonomic grip.

Note! The Horizon's special panoramic format of 24x58mm requires professional processing. Most consumer labs-available via supermarkets, drugstores, or 1-hour places-do not have the capacity to properly scan and develop your shots. Please check with a professional lab if they can handle this size.
Features

• Multicoated OF-28P Glass Lens

At the heart of this system is a 28mm f/2.8 lens that features multicoated glass lens elements, which produce crispy, full-contrast images.

• Swing-Lens Technology

As a true panorama camera, this camera features a rotating lens. Cocking the Horizon's shutter charges its clockwork mechanics, and touching the shutter release sets the lens into motion. As the lens swings from side to side, a narrow vertical slit between the lens and film rotates along with it - thereby progressively exposing the film as the lens moves. The film plane is curved, thereby keeping the film tight and maintaining a uniform distance from the lens.

• Variable Shutter & Aperture Settings

With an adjustable aperture range that varies from f/2.8 to f/16 and shutter speeds from 1/500th to 1/2 second, this camera gives you full manual control of each shot.

• Built-In Bubble Level

The bubble-eye level, available through the viewfinder, allows you to perfectly place the "horizon" of each photograph.

• Double Exposures

Since this camera's film advance and shutter are uncoupled, this means that you can cock and fire the shutter as many times as you like, without advancing the film.

• Battery-Free Operation

Entirely mechanical, without any chance of ever running out of battery power.
