High Performance SCSI Interface
The RTR320X disk array features a high performance Ultra320 SCSI interface which allows it to sustain a data transfer rate of up to 350 MB/second - more than enough bandwidth to support the playback of all formats of HD footage.
Media Protection
A disk drive failure is not a catastrophic event with the RTR320X. The system will continue to operate without loss of data and at full performance should a drive fail within the unit. This enables the completion of work in progress without requiring immediate drive replacement. Costly downtime is eliminated since the system is fully functional during the rebuild process. Once the rebuild is completed, the RTR320X resumes the protection of your media.
Multi-Stream Technology (MST)
Features Medea's proprietary MST, a sophisticated stream-handling algorithm that works with the system's on-board caching RAID controller to support the simultaneous real-time playback of multiple streams of uncompressed SD and HD video.
Remote Management
You can remotely manage the array by via its ethernet port. This allows you easily troubleshoot and manage issues from any computer in your network.
Raid Patrol
The VideoRAID is equipped with a maintenance system called RAID Patrol which monitors the disk media for errors and offers a level of protection not found in other disk arrays. This ensures that the system is constantly running at its best.
Removable Disk Drive Modules
The array features removable disk drive modules and components facilitate on-site system upgrades and serviceability, enabling you to quickly swap out drives as necessary.
Redundant Power Supplies
The array features optional redundant load-sharing power supplies. In the unlikely event that a power supply fails, the system will continue to operate without interruption.
24 Terabyte Scalable Capacity
You can daisy-chain several VideoRaid units to attain capacities of over 48 TB on a single SCSI host adapter. That capacity will allow you to store over 400 hours of uncompressed 10-bit SD video.
