The success of the Elite series of sport optics has spurned a second premier line for avid binocular owners who found the first series somewhat financially inaccessible. This Bushnell Elite e² Series Binocular is still worthy of the Elite name but lacks the hefty price tag. Bushnell kept the superior optical performance and high-end characteristics of the Elite but have designed a new housing that is more conservatively priced without being of low quality. The crisp multicoated optics remain but are enhanced by advances in Bushnell's own XTR technology that allows for a stunning 99.7% light transmission for each lens. The Elite e²'s outstanding optical clarity, color and contrast are all holdovers from the original Elite, in fact the only significant change is the introduction of a magnesium chassis, that while not as ultra-light or streamlined as the original, it is quite rugged and can stand on its own. |
