Particle Effects
Blue allows you to use any 3D object as a particle, giving you the ability to create interesting particle effects with custom 3D objects. You'll be able to use multiple particles from a single emitter, allowing you to create effects such as smoke, fire, and sparks. The software fully leverages hardware acceleration for the ultimate in performance.
Enhanced Extrusions
The software allows you to create custom bevels using intuitive spline drawing tools. Any sort of vector-based media can be extruded, including text, spline primitives, and EPS files. You can even convert a raster image to a vector-based spline using the Blue Bitmap Vector Trace tool.
Deformers, Image Processors and Generators
Blue uses vertex deformers to produce true 3D warping of objects. You'll be able to use image processors to apply these effects to any texture map individually or on a scene level. Processors for luma adjustments, color adjustments, keying effects, stylized effects, 2D distortions, and wipes are included. You can even use these effects to created animated clouds and electricity. These effects utilize hardware acceleration for amazing output.
Materials including Bump Maps and Reflections
The software features an enhanced texture engine that allows for pixel-based texture, bump, and reflection mapping. Texture maps allow you to map media such as moving video, still graphics, and gradients onto any 3D object. You can leverage reflection maps to define reflections onto 3D objects and 6-layered cube maps. Taking advantage of hardware acceleration, these features will bring your 3D graphics to life.
Type On Container Animation
Blue supports Type On Container Animation. This animation style allows you to create true 3D animation of individual characters, while preserving them in a single, editable text block. You'll be able to use this feature to design sophisticated text reveal, remove, and wave effects. You'll even be able to make global changes via Extrusion Styles, accessible from the Blue Style Palette. Of course, these effects also leverage 3D hardware acceleration.
