Logic Studio from Apple turns either an Intel- or PowerPC-based Mac into a professional digital audio workstation, and provides the ultimate synthesis of digital audio recording, signal processing, MIDI sequencing and notation.

Logic Studio itself contains multiple applications and utilities. These include Logic Pro 8, MainStage, Soundtrack Pro 2, Studio Instruments and Effects, a five volume Studio Sound Library, along with several production utilities. Additionally, the previous XSKey protection system is dispensed with in favor of a simple serial number.

Logic Pro has been long admired by many musicians for its comprehensive collection of tools. Now Logic Studio defies logic (pun intended) by providing more for less. The less is the drastic cost reduction of the software bundle, while simultaneously adding more features and applications, with nothing removed from the previous version.

The user is also able to fine-tune the intersection of two regions by using the Junction tool to simultaneously resize two adjacent regions
