The 1TB DriveStation Quattro TurboUSB External Hard Drive Array from Buffalo is a high-capacity external RAID that features four 7200rpm drives. The array can be configured in a hardware RAID 0, 1, 5 or JBOD configuration. The array features a dual USB 2.0 and eSATA interface for computer connection. It is an excellent solution for digital imaging, data backup or general storage applications.

• 1TB Capacity

1TB of capacity allows for storage of approximately 75 hours of uncompressed DV digital video, the equivalent of 212 4.7GB DVD video discs or up to 250,000 MP3 files.

• TurboUSB

The drive features Buffalo's TurboUSB technology. TurboUSB can achieve sustained transfer rates that are up to 37% faster than standard USB 2.0 drives.

• RAID Capabilities

The drive can be configured as a RAID 0 for full capacity and fast data transfer. It can also be configured as a RAID 1 mirror, giving you half the data capacity and the security of real-time data mirroring. RAID 5 is supported for three-quarter capacity and data protection. The drive can also be set up as a JBOD, which will mount each physical hard disk separately on your system. Software for Mac and Windows is included to configure the RAID settings.

The drive ships with Memeo AutoBackup software for Windows. This lets you easily backup important files, ensuring that they will be protected in the case of a drive failure.
