Record video and stills directly to DVD for playback in any standard definition DVD player, after finalization. DVD-R/-RW discs can hold up to 30 minutes of footage in standard mode and 60 minutes in long play mode. In addition, DVD-R DL discs can store up to 108 minutes of video. The Visual Index allows for fast retrieval of scenes. You can also create a playlist of your favorite scenes in-camera.

The DC310 doubles as a digital still camera. Special Scene Modes ensure that you get the best possible shot every time you shoot, while Progressive Photo and 9-point AiAf (Auto Intelligent Autofocus) make sure that your images have clean and clear detail.

Widescreen HR recording captures your video in full 16:9. Using the 2.7" LCD monitor you can compose in the same widescreen format, leaving no doubt in your mind that what you saw on the screen is what was recorded.

DIGIC DVII improves image color reproduction in skin tones and for footage or stills shot in extremely light or dark situations. Image noise is also reduced thanks to a hybrid noise reduction system.
