If you thought you were aware of all the places to hide a camera, think again. The Swann SW244-TDV FlashlightDVR consists of a camera and recorder built into a flashlight. To a casual observer it looks like any other flashlight, making it the perfect tool for law enforcement personnel during sting operations, when interviewing suspects or for any other application involving covert monitoring and recording. With an actual working bulb inside, it also serves the dual purpose of illuminating the viewing area in front of the camera, ensuring properly lit images in areas with limited amounts of light. For greater versatility, you can choose between three levels of brightness, allowing you to customize light intensity according to a particular environment while conserving battery power.

Images are stored to the flashlight's 128MB of internal memory or to an optional micro-SD card up to 2GB in capacity. Recorded images can then be viewed simply by transferring the SD card to a memory card reader or by connecting the flashlight to a PC via its USB port.

With the ability to operate on the included AC adapter or optional regular or rechargeable batteries, this SW244-TDV is truly a portable, covert camera/recorder unit.

While designed for surveillance, this unit will also come in handy during camping and fishing trips or any other application involving quick recording in the dark.
