Three wide LCD panels with 1920 x 1080 resolution (16:9 aspect ratio) can project the image from component video signals such as DVD players and HDTV devices in full screen.

Rated at 1200 lumens, the PLV-Z700 is capable of an incredible 10,000:1 contrast ratio for superlative black levels with incredibly rich, and deep black color reproduction, even in ambient light.

Achieves deep, rich, and accurate color thanks to Sanyo's exclusive TopazReal HD Technology. A 3D color management system that addresses color phase and color level to obtain perfect color reproduction, TopazReal HD can generate a total of approximately 216 billion possible color combinations.

Variable iris offers rapid adjustments that control the amount of light projected on the screen every 1/60th of a second. By permitting ultra, fast-acting lens adjustment, the PLV-Z700 is capable of providing the most optimal light level at all times.

Rapid adjusting lens means more dynamic, deep and rich black color reproduction. Iris noise has been reduced to ensure greater enjoyment and cinematic-like immersion in quiet or silent scenes. Great for watching sports games/matches or movies.

The color management system also optimizes the potential of Deep Color from either of the projector's two HDMI 1.3 inputs.

High Performance

High-efficiency 2x short throw and wide-range zoom lens maximizes image details for exceptional optical performance.

The PLV-Z700 is outfitted with the industry's most advanced lens shifting function. When coupled with the projector's short throw capability and 2x zoom which allows for an extremely long or short focus, it can create a large screen image in any size room and from virtually any location. The lens shifting function allows the PLV-Z700 to effectively adjust the equivalent of 3 screens sizes vertically and 2 screens sizes horizontally.

The throw design of the PLV-Z700, which is capable of projecting a 100-inch diagonal image from 10 to 20 feet away, makes it extremely suitable for small to mid-size home theaters, even in small rooms such as dens or bedrooms. Can project from 3.9 to 60.4-ft. on screens from 40- to 300-inches.

Accepts signals from computers, analog TV systems (PAL, SECAM, NTSC, NTSC4.43, PAL-M, and PAL-N), component video, S-Video, RGB scart, and HDMI.

Conveniences

Logo function allows you to customize the screen logo. Capture an image for the screen logo and use it for the starting-up display or between presentations.

Power management function reduces power consumption and maintains the lamp life. The brightness of the projection lamp can also be selected (4 levels).

A 1200 lumen projector generates a tremendous amount of heat and requires a high quality fan to ensure proper operation. At this level of brightness, the fan is 'on' most of the time and the noise can be extremely loud and disruptive, especially in smaller home theaters where the projector and the audience are in the same vicinity. To promote greater enjoyment of the film and to reduce noise levels during quiet passages of a film, the PLV-Z700 is equipped with the industry's quietest fan, a large aperture, low noise Sirocco cooling fan that never rises above 21dB in the economy mode.

Electronic shutter protects lens from dust when not in use. The automatic slide shutter opens and closes automatically as you press the Power On/Stand-By button. Allows overhead installation and is stylish enough for any interior with the sliding cover.

Five video modes (Brilliant Cinema/Creative Cinema/Natural/Living/Dynamic) provide pre-calibration for various genres of video material.
- Brilliant Cinema for viewing movies in a bright room
- Creative Cinema is for viewing contrasty 3D images in a dark room
- Natural is for viewing images faithfully reproduced without any control by the projector in a dark room.
- Living is for viewing video sources such as sports or dramas from TV with clear and contrasty images in a bright room.
- Dynamic is for viewing contrasty images in a bright room.
