The B&W 55mm 092 Infrared (IR) MRC (Multi-Resistant Coating) Glass Filter has a multi-resistant coating (MRC) which makes it a more durable and useful filter. The 092, with its stronger composition is scratch resistant, water and dirt repellent - perfect for today's outdoor shooter.

The 092MC eliminates infrared contamination between 620-1100nm - another plus for digital users whose sensors are ultra-sensitive to IR noise. The 8-layers of coating on both sides of the filter give it an edge over other infrared filters. The MRC reliably prevents ghost or double images, which can be caused by return reflections from chips.
