Comments about General Brand 49mm Screw-In Metal Lens Cap:
I bought this to go with the Fuji X100 with lens hood on, since its impossible to put a lens hood on the lens once the lens hood is on, this was the answer I was looking for, it can screw in flawlessly with no problem what so ever, and it even looks good with it, it wont look as it wont belong. I highly recommend it, strong and not a single dust can go in once screwed in. Simply Great.

Comments about General Brand 49mm Screw-In Metal Lens Cap:
I bought two 49mm metal threaded lens caps for my Sony e-mount lenses on the NEX-7. I also use 6 of the same kind in 77mm sizes for my primes and zooms with the 5DII. I use 77mm step up rings on all my 5DII lenses so I can standardize on one size filter for all the lenses. But when you put a step up ring on a lens, you also have to buy a new lens cap because the one that came with the lens will no longer fit (unless it's already 77mm).
One big advantage to these threaded lens caps is that they don't fall off. I've never had a plastic lens cap that wasn't easy to knock off. These caps stay put.

Comments about General Brand 49mm Screw-In Metal Lens Cap:
Yeah, so it take a few seconds to unscrew it. It protects the lens very well, and never slips off, unlike the plastic snap-on ones.

Comments about General Brand 49mm Screw-In Metal Lens Cap:
I bought four of these caps. The 49mm ones are fine, but the 58mm must have been defective, as it wouldn't thread properly on either of my 58mm lenses and got stuck. The caps that thread properly are sturdy and work fine.
