Samsung's ultra thin (1.2" depth) LED TV LCD TV is made possible by LED backlighting from the edges of the screen. Another advantage of light emitting diode (LED) illumination is that it uses 40 percent less power than conventional LCD TVs. The stylish Touch of Color Design features a piano black bezel that fades into chrome and finishes with light ruby highlights all supported on a Crystal Neck Swivel Stand.

The full 1080p resolution screen is complimented by a dynamic contrast ratio of 3,000,000:1 and AutoMotion Plus 120Hz processing that reduces blur and enhances image detail when viewing fast motion scenes.

With a VGA input for your computer and two USB 2.0 inputs for playing a variety of formats that go beyond photos and include movies, the UN40B6000 is an all-purpose entertaintment display. It includes SRS TruSurround HD, immersive audio created from the TV's two speakers.

• LED Edge Lighting: By using LEDs to generate the LCD panel's backlight from the screen's edges, the display can be kept abnormally thin. With a depth of 1.2-inches, the TV is one of the slimmest available. LEDs are also more energy efficent than the cold-cathode fluorescent lamps used to illuminate conventional LCD TV sets. Samsung LED-based TVs use 40 percent less power than conventional LCD TVs, which makes the 6000 series more than Energy Star compliant and can save you money on your electric bill.

• Uncommonly Stylish: Besides being ultra svelte, the UN40B6000 employs Samsung's Touch of Color design with ruby red highlights on the black bezel. The TV is fitted onto an elegant Crystal Neck Swivel Stand that enables you to turn the picture 20° to the left or right. If you choose wall mounting instead, the TV will be almost flush with the wall.

• InfoLink: Provides RSS feeds of customizable stock quotes, weather, sports, and news delivered from the Internet.

• USB 2.0 Movie: Plug a USB storage device into the TV and watch MPEG or DivX video, play JPEG slideshows, or listen to MP3 music.

• Picture-In-Picture: Share a video source (such as your DVR via an HDMI input) and a PC source (with your computer on the PC input) simultaneously on the same big screen.
