I'm a studio owner (30 years) teacher at PortraNet (8 years).
Other reviews said (expensive?) have you priced the 1000+ buck wifi from canon? These things are CHEAP and awesome. I shoot in my studio all day and all the images are transferred to my computer. (even deleted from the card after transfer (optionally) I don't ever have to copy my files. They're transferred all day. The reason Im' ordering a 2nd one now is to have one in the studios (outdoor camera) SUPPORT is great, when ever I had a problem they solved it by software update! (right away) and when we ask for features they come! (which is why they now have RAW support, movie transfer support and deletion of files after transfer. AMAZING for the money!
These newer X2 also transfer files in 1/2 the time of my previous eye-fi pro (4gb cards).

1st off, you have to set up an account with the eye-fi company to use the card. That's kinda annoying, but when you add the fact that the software kept [*]ing out and telling that I didn't have an account (even after getting confirmation email from the company) it's darn right dumb. Go to their forums and you will see how there are multitudes of people have trouble getting their card set up. It took me 5 hours to get it working. After I got i got it working, it has been useful. But with my camera being 18megapixel, the transfer from the camera to the computer (iPad in my case) is slow. Too slow for anything other than a shot a time portrait type work. Forget burst mode shooting, it lags too muchOverall, I kept it, but it should have cost half as much, and the company needs to get it's head out of it's behind and make it so that you can just set up the card/software without making an account, especially if their system is jacked up.

I bought this card to use for tether shooting to iPad with direct connect. The connection is not smooth because the iPad keep looking for wifi connection and the app keep crashing from time to time. Just bought the new eye if mobile x2 and hope it'll do better job than the pro x2 on direct connect feature.

I recently bought a Nikon D800. I use this card to shoot to my iPhone. RAW and JPEG files can be sent wirelessly but RAW photos take considerably longer for upload. Overall it's not as speedy to record as my sandisk extreme pro sd card but that's not the point. It's great to have the ability of another copy only iOs device as well as being able to upload to facebook etc.

It does its job, but not quite how I expected. It might just be a case of me having to learn more about it and how to set things up to use it better. It transfers files fine, but doesn't put them where I'd like them to go. I then have to transfer them and import. Means I'll have to figure some work arounds.
I also had it transfer photos directly to my computer, and afterwards I removed the card from my camera and used another card. Later I deleted some of the photos it had transfered as I no longer wanted them. When I put the card back in my camera later, it started transferring all those photos again. Another thing to learn and work around.

takes around 10 seconds to send a RAW picture from my 60d to the ipad...(could be a little faster...but its great!)

When it works its cool.
Short distance needed between camera with the card and the computer or the WI-FI coverage.
Will drink your iOS device battery if you allow it to get the photos on a trip.

I really wanted this to be a silver bullet but it wasn't great with big images.
Worked great in a gopro, but struggled to get 18mp raw images from my dslr doing barely one image transfer every minute to an ipad 3.
The local wifi backup stuff looked pretty cool, but I assume the speed would not make that as great as it sounds.

Tried to upload pictures to a computer, an iPad and an iPhone.
It was a bit complex to figure out where it would be best to upload. Opted for the ipad so they are included in the photostream to be shared across the board. Now I have difficulty uploading all the images in the card. It has uploaded the latest ones but some other in the middle are not showing up.
Also it's really killing the batt of my canon s100.
Concept is wonderful, it works well enough but not perfect.

Comments about Eye-Fi 8GB SDHC Memory Card Pro X2 Wireless Class 6:
This memory card with built-in wi-fi is a wonderful idea. I am sure it would work great if one were shooting mostly JPEGs and looking for a quick and wireless way to transfer the photos from camera to computer and/or iPad, iPhone.
However, I am shooting RAW, file size 25MB or so, and the transfer rate is slow and ties up camera activity while it is transferring. It is distracting to continuing to shoot. Takes too long. It was also quite hard to set the card up for use with my Canon EOS 5D Mark III and my MacBook Pro and iPad. I decided that this card would not be useful to me. I think that it will evolve in to something really useful and it probably is really useful under the circumstances mentioned above. But to a working pro I found I had no use for the card and am returning it.
I don't want to imply that it is not fantastic for certain people and circumstances. But I was disappointed in its real world performance under the conditions specified above.

I try to set it up to my iPhone, iPad and it's so difficult to make it work even when I follow the instructions step by step. I manage to get it to talk to my iPhone for once but after seeing it working for awhile, it drop again. I'm using it with the canon 5D3 which have in cam support for eye-fi. The connection to home wifi is ok but to the mobile devices are just not stable at all. Just googlstair these problem u will see a ton of it them. Buy it if u r confident of troubleshooting, normal consumer like myself u will get a hard time making it work (if it does). To date I still can't get the mobile devices to sync with the card. I'm probably noob but I'm just a normal consumer I'm not a tech geek.

I use this in my photo studio for product shots.
It was purchased to free up the camera from being directly wired to my laptop.
The EyeFi is painfully slow when shooting in camera Raw or high resolution.
It was also a bit fussy to install.

Used this in studio for quick small jpeg reviews in Lightroom before committing to full raw capture. RAW takes forever to download at this speed (hoping they improve this with next version) but small jpegs are great and super fast, especially good for teaching purposes.

I purchased this product from BH Photo & video. Great service and process.
I have yet to get the card to work like I want. I am trying to get my Nikon to shoot into an iPad. I even purchased the adapter for this card to fit into the flash card.
Others out there are having success but I have yet to make it fly.
Still trying.

Comments about Eye-Fi 8GB SDHC Memory Card Pro X2 Wireless Class 6:
We use this card along with an iPad for teaching purposes in a tertiary setting. It is ideal for this use as we can quickly and easily transfer medium sized JPEG files from camera to the iPad when giving live tutorials in the studio and location.
It would probably not be ideal for transfering RAW files in commercial shooting situations as it would probably be too slow and too small in capacity; for our specific requirements however it works reliably and easily.

I purchased two if these cards a few weeks ago. My goal was to eliminate having to remove cards to download or hooking up cables. The eye-fi cards were not reliable, It would only download one RAW file at the time and it was very slow. Returned cards.
