Western Digital's WD TV LIVE Streaming Media Player is a stellar way to experience your beloved media files or games on a higher, more immersive level. Whereas you might normally play music or games, watch video or movies, or view pictures on your computer, the TV Live Streaming Media Player allows you to do these things on a 1080p HDTV or a regular TV and use your home surround sound speaker system. To connect up to these external devices, the media player has an HDMI port, a set of RCA composite ports, and a digital optical audio S/PDIF port.
Because this media player supports 802.11n Wi-Fi and has a built-in Ethernet port, it can connect to your home network wirelessly or via an Ethernet cable. After, the media player will search and collect media files that it can play from your computer or connected network hard drives. Also, because the media player has two USB ports, it can play files from a connected external USB hard drive. If all of this sounds easy enough, well navigating with your TV and the media player is even easier with the included remote.
