It is a pretty okay diopter. Though i was expecting to be able to shoot as if it was macro and found thatit was not as good as any macro could be

Comments about B+W 67mm Close-up NL +4 Lens:
I needed this diopter in order to use the Canon 17-85IS with an Ikelite port. I was able to get some solid underwater shots on a great white shark dive at Isla de Guadalupe, as a result of using this diopter, so I don't really have anything negative to say about it.

I use these for my underwater housing and they make all the difference in the world for sharpness at the edges of my underwater pictures.

Comments about B+W 67mm Close-up NL +4 Lens:
This diopter really extends what you can do with a lens that isn't otherwise suited for macro. It really does soften the corners, and you lose a stop or so of light, but for the money, it's WELL worth it.
I liked what I was getting out of my mid-range zoom with diopter so well that I turned right around and bought the 100mm f2.8 USM Macro! I still need the diopter in my underwater housing.
