Aside from the cost, this is a very useful piece of kit-- no rails, easily adjustable and stiff. It does a much better job at blocking flare than anything else I've come across for my Hasselblad H (medium format) lenses.

The filter slots are also quite useful, with two slots being great for adjusting NDs for landscape work.

BTW, it comes with a small and useful case so you don't damage it in transit. Perfect for studio applications or careful use on location.

I like it, its solid, theres a few pros / cons i'll go through real quick though.

Pros:

Really easy to have 1 lens hood for All your lenses, saves space and is fully configurable.

One of the best ways to use filters.

Cons:

On Canon 24-70, at 24 It will vignette horribly.

Also because it adds weight to the front filter, a fair bit, it will extend creep or zoom lenses.

Since theres no rails, its really hard to set it to a desired mm, or to even keep it flat. You pull it out and often have to straighten it.

Its paper, really not as durable as i would of liked, but theres two, i'm guessing metal or hard plastic brackets that will give about as much protection as a normal lens hood, maybe just slightly less, this lens hood will break itself much easier.

Great product. Be sure not to overextend. Pulling out by 90% is all that's recommended although this information is not included in product literature. May want to consider wide angle hood instead of standard hood to make it viable with wider lenses. Also, be very careful in wet conditions as bellows (compendium) are paper, not rubber, leather or other water resistant product
