The orange HP15 LED Head Light from Fenix puts up to 500 lumens of illumination at your disposal, while leaving both hands free to work, perform tasks, or just light your way. With five output levels starting at 4 lumens, you can tailor the amount of light to any situation. A ratcheting tilt mechanism lets you precisely place the beam for maximum effectiveness, while a removable, flip-up diffuser allows you to quickly change the beam from a wide flood to a tight spot light. An easy-to-activate SOS emergency beacon sends a distress signal if you don't know Morse-code, or are incapacitated.
The aluminum chassis acts as a heat sink to help prevent over-heating, and orange resin exterior covers the aluminum. For more even weight distribution, the separate battery case clips onto the back of the adjustable head band. Using the included 40" extension cable, you can put the case in your pack or pocket, eliminating the weight from your head. Having this option also helps in cold weather, where lower temperatures can reduce battery life. If the temperature drops, simply put the pack inside your jacket to optimize the battery charge. To add to its usability, the light runs on four 'AA' batteries and works with alkaline or rechargeable Ni-MH chemistries, while reverse polarity protection prohibits the batteries from being put in incorrectly.
