The Lee Enhancing filter is a combination of rare earth elements in glass. It removes a portion of the spectrum in the orange region, increasing the color saturation of reddish objects by eliminating the muddy tones and maximizing the red hues with minimal effect on other colors. Its most frequent use is for obtaining strongly saturated photographs of fall foliage.
This filter is glass and measures 100 x 100 x 2mm thick.

Comments about LEE Filters 4x4" Enhancing Glass Filter:
Use it for interesting colour effects. Basically it removes yellow but it is more complex than that. Greens are greener and reds are redder.

Comments about LEE Filters 4x4" Enhancing Glass Filter:
This a neodymium doped glass filter. This type of glass has unusual colour absorption properties that provides amasing effects that can't be reproduced in post processing. It is not an every day filter so a little pricey if used only occasionally. If you are into landscape, it is certainly worth a try.

Comments about LEE Filters 4x4" Enhancing Glass Filter:
Lee's enhancing filter is not like other enhancing filters you normally would use in black and white, matter of fact you wont use this filter for black and white at all. The enhancing filters use specialize rare earth elements in the glass to brighten reds, yellows and other warm tones, give it that pop, mostly use for landscape and fall photography. The enhancing filter will enrich the colors of your scene, providing a color separation where you did not see in the first place.
