Before I bought this, I used to carry my filters in the cases each one came with. I would carry five filters: ND .6, circ, uv, 812, and 82A. But one night I was shooting long exposures, I tried putting an 82A in the dark. As I was taking out the 82A, I accidentally dropped my UV in the process. Yay, that's a 30 dollar filter down the drain. I got tired of carrying 5 separate filter cases so I decided to give this a try. It was one of the best purchases I made this year. I thought this was going to be some overpriced piece of plastic but to my surprise it was made out of aluminum. It streamlined my filter changing routine and compacted my filter cases into one. Highly recommended.

This is a simple and well made product. I stack up (and thread together) all my 52mm filters and screw these onto the ends to make a lens-like roll of all my 52mm filters. I just pick the filter I want, unscrew at that point, remove the filter and replace the one off my lens and it is a tubular library of filters again. The safest and most space saving way to carry filters.

Nothing complicated or cutting edge here. A simple product that allows filters to be stored securely. The male end can also double as a lens cap in a pinch.

Used these to organize my Neutral Density filters rather than the 6 pocket envelope. Takes up much less space, the metal end pieces help protect the glass and the whole package drops neatly into a camera bag compartment.

This is a handy gizmo that I never knew existed [...] These covers let me take my filters and closeup lenses out of their soft cases, significantly reducing the amount of room they take in my gadget bag. They appear very well-made and sturdy, so I expect them to last for many years as long as I don't cross-thread them when screwing them onto the filter stack.

I bought this filter stack cap set to store multiple filters in a compact case. I put all my 52 mm filters in a stack with these caps. Then I put the stack in a padded lens pouch. It fits into a much smaller space in my pack than the filter boxes they come in.
The threads can be hard to turn. Twist them on and off carefully.
You may need a simple filter wrench or two if stacked filters become tight.
If you only have one or two filters of any one size I suggest using the filter case or box the filter came in. It's easier to use.

previously i have tried everything from plastic cases to nylon bags to store and protect filters. the filter stacker is the best way i have found to store and carry filters. 1st, your filters are thoroughly protected and 2nd, they are stored compactly. this of course makes travel easier. my only regret is that i wish they would make a filter stacker for bayonet mount filters.
