A 62mm Metal Filter Stack Cap protects filters from dust and scratches while they are not being used. Simply screw your filters together, then screw these stack caps on the top and bottom. They're great for keeping dust, grime and fingerprints off the glass surfaces. Another benefit is that they keep all your filters organized in one place so you'll have access to them whenever you need them.

Comments about General Brand 62mm Filter Stack Cap:
This has been a very useful addition to my equipment when travelling as it makes taking a number of filters simple. It is a little fiddly to separate them quickly, but they are well attached and in no danger of separating and becoming scratched

Comments about General Brand 62mm Filter Stack Cap:
Like to hike and bike and pack it lite! Have five filters I like to carry and having each of them individually cased is not an option. The Filter Stack Cap lets me keeps them all protected and very compact. Protects both sides of each filter and makes it easy to identify which one I need. I can take one out of the middle simply by unscrewing it and screwing the others back together. Takes up much less space than having each filter individually cased.

Great way to compactly organize filters. Robust...just wish these were labeled by size for quick identification (nothing a label-maker can't fix).

Comments about General Brand 62mm Filter Stack Cap:
Stack Caps are the only way to go for filter protection as far as I am concerned. I used the bags I got with some filters and discovered they had a film of oil inside that got on the filter and was hard to clean off. The soft cases are not much real protection in the field either. I have fallen backward on top of my pack more then once and have not broken an expensive filter in a stack cap yet. Stack caps are much more compact and allow for multiple filter storage. I use these and just stick the filters inside a pocket in my camera backpack. General uses a tough grade aluminum that is black anodized that is very drop resistant. Its simple, and very effective. I now have stack caps for all of my filter sizes....except for 86mm. I am waiting for General to make a set for that too.
