A 77mm Metal Filter Stack Cap protects filters from dust and scratches while they are not being used. Simply screw your filters together, then screw these stack caps on the top and bottom. They're great for keeping dust, grime and fingerprints off the glass surfaces. Another benefit is that they keep all your filters organized in one place so you'll have access to them whenever you need them.

Comments about General Brand 77mm Filter Stack Cap:
I am ordering more of these, after a near disaster with my filters while hiking.
They by far give the ultimate protection for the costly filters. It is easy to put as many screw in filters as you want, but for ease of use, I am storing two filters per Stack. That way I don't have to worry so much. Storing 4 or more is easy, just harder to fit into a jacket pocket...
I am adding labels to these stackers for easier id of what I have stored...
As soon as I get these in, I will discontinue the use of the softer sided holders

Comments about General Brand 77mm Filter Stack Cap:
I purchased 4 of these in different sizes (viz. 77, 72, 67, and 62 mm) to store various types of filters (polarizers, graduated density, etc.) for each of the sizes of lens that I use. They are much sturdier, more compact and easier to pack in my bag or pocket than the plastic cases in which filters arrive from the manufacturer. I also find it easier to extract and handle a filter for mounting than when the filter is surrounded with foam in the manufacturer-supplied cases. Not a bad price to pay for the security that these Stack Caps provide.

I can now carry all my 77 mm filters in a one-inch thick package that fits nicely in my bag. I don't know why I didn't get it before!

Comments about General Brand 77mm Filter Stack Cap:
Protects all my filters and keeps them all in one place as a single stack. Better than having all your filters in seperate boxes. As the Stack Caps are made of metal they afford plenty of protection to your filters.

Comments about General Brand 77mm Filter Stack Cap:
It didn't cost $50 it was under $20.
Solves the problem of storing filters in bulky plastic cases.
Could also be used as a heavy duty lens cap.

Comments about General Brand 77mm Filter Stack Cap:
For weeks I used the boxes the filters came in when moving around, until I got annoyed with the amount of space taken by them. I had a look at pouches but these are bulky as well. With these caps I can throw my filters in my bag without any worry of braking them. You will need a different set for each filter size.

Comments about General Brand 77mm Filter Stack Cap:
i bought two of these, one for storage and one to protect my lens and i definitely like their sturdiness. it's a very space-efficient way to store filters and i feel more secure throwing my lens in and out of the bag with a metal cap on. occasionally i have some difficulty putting the cap on my lens; i can't be sure if it's due to the threads on the cap or the protective filter i'm using on the lens. it's also not quick to remove as a plastic cap can be, but i can be sure it won't come off in the bag either, which is a huge advantage over many plastic lens caps.

Comments about General Brand 77mm Filter Stack Cap:
I prefer using these stack caps instead of cordura filter sleeves or the boxes the filters come in. The sleeves do not offer as much protection and the using the boxes the filters come in takes up too much space, is ungainly and just time consuming, fishing through a clutter of filters. My 77mm filters are pricey, so I use a pair on each (as opposed to stringing several of my 52mm filters together). Make sure that you are not getting them for thin profile filters (like the Singh-Rays)-- this product will not work as those filters are threaded only on one side). Best way to carry filters so far.

Comments about General Brand 77mm Filter Stack Cap:
Excellent!
Perfect fit and nice, smooth threads. I bought two sets and will definitely buy more.
I prefer using these caps to wallets for my ND and polarising filters as, although capped filters are a little thick, they take far less space overall. I screw two filters together then the caps on each end.

Comments about General Brand 77mm Filter Stack Cap:
In the old days (e.g., Spiratone) stack caps were engraved with the filter size, which is immensely convenient if you have two lenses with slightly different diameters. These caps aren't, and labels tend to scuff and wear off.

Comments about General Brand 77mm Filter Stack Cap:
The filter stack cap is a great way to provide incredible protection for your filters without taking up much room in your bag.
Stacking several does make it slightly (and I mean very slightly) more difficult to find the right one but I leave my most commonly used one (polarizer) on top for faster access

Nothing complicated or cutting edge here. A simple product that allows filters to be stored securely. The male end can also double as a lens cap in a pinch.

Comments about General Brand 77mm Filter Stack Cap:
An easy and quick to use filter organizer. You screw multiple filters together in order of use or priority. It becomes a self contained cylinder that keeps out dust and prevents scratches on the filter glass. I prefer this system over a filter pouch or wallet that is still soft, bulky and can allow dust to reach the filters.
I carry a circular polarizer, NC, ND2, ND4. When using film filters like infrared, green, orange, 81A, 80A, etc. I carry over a half dozen in a very convenient stack. I love my filter stackers. Thanks B&H.
One word of caution. Do not over tighten the filters or you will have to use a filter wrench to loosen them.

Comments about General Brand 77mm Filter Stack Cap:
An effective way to store filters in a space efficient way. These caps are metal and appear to be robust. With a cap on each end and a few filters sandwitched in between, filters can be tossed into the bag without concern. The down side is, of course, that the filter you want will invariably be in the middle of the stack!

Comments about General Brand 77mm Filter Stack Cap:
To carry filters while out photographing, I find pouches bulky, the original cases even more so. Stack caps may be 'old school', but they offer a compact way to carry filters, keeping them clean in the process. Made of metal, they protect the filters. Just be careful to not over-tighten filters and caps.

Comments about General Brand 77mm Filter Stack Cap:
This is a great accessory for keeping filters together, protected and at hand. The obvious downside of this kind of design is that the filter stack must be screwed apart and re-screwed to get at the filter you want. This is a little time consuming but way better than broken filters because you used the soft bag provided by the filter manufacturer!
This little accessory also reduces the space taken up by filters drastically.
Bottom line - if you are not horribly time-constrained at a shoot to change filters very quickly, then this accessory is great!

Comments about General Brand 77mm Filter Stack Cap:
I have always used filter stackers as a compact way to travel with several filters. Years ago I was reminded that if you drop your stack, you will break several filters at once. Well, in 30 years I haven't dropped one yet. Only 4 stars given because the manufacturing is not quite the quality that is evident in superior filters such as those made by Nikon or B+W. Don't screw Them together too tight or you will need your filter wrenches or rubber band to get them apart. And as usual, if you are traveling, these tools will not always be handy when you need them. Keep a light touch.
