The Delta Flip Flash II bracket will support SLR or medium format cameras. The 18" long flash arm is flexible, features a metal flash shoe, and can be positioned for either horizontal or vertical shooting. The oversized, anti-fatigue, non-slip foam grip makes it easy to carry around.

Flash brackets are designed to increase the distance between the flash head and the lens in order to minimize the occurrence of redeye and to also reduce flash-shadows behind the subject. The rotating flash arm keeps the flash centered over the lens both for horizontal and vertical compositions.

Comments about Delta 1 Flip Flash II Bracket - 18":

The photo looks promising, but the construction is lacking. I opened the box, and there was a loose screw in there. I thought that was a little odd, and found that there are four such screws that hold the arm together. Inside the articulated arm (made of medium strength individual segments) is a thin wire that supports the snake-like outer plastic structure. The internal bar gives the strength and rigidity to the structure. Two screws hold the internal bar in the handle component, and two more hold the bar to the hotshoe mount. The loose screw was one of the screws at the hot shoe location, so I tried to screw it back in. You can see the little silver screw in the hi-res picture, it's on the first black segment to the left of the hot shoe mount. Well, the threads of that little screw don't fit, and the thing immediately fell back out. I am not sure this thing will hold together with repeated use. The little screws are bound to keep falling out, and I just took this thing out of the box. I haven't taken it out to the field yet, and losing a loose screw in the grass somewhere would render this thing an $80 back of the closet storage space. I don't have any other units, but i would think a solid metal articulated arm would probably be more reliable. I am going to try to get a properly fitted metal screw for the one that doesn't stay in, but I have a hunch I'll have to make some serious modifications to the arm (replace it with a solid metal construction) or buy another type of bracket altogether.

Expertise: Advanced beginner.
