This Ikelite Underwater Housing and Camera Kit
from B&H Photo
bundles the Ikelite 6147.16 waterproof case with the Canon PowerShot G16 digital camera it houses, enabling you to capture photos and video beneath the surface at a maximum depth of 200'. The housing provides access to all camera functions except for the diopter adjustment dial via mechanical controls and enables use of the camera's built-in flash.
Built for durability, the case is constructed by hand in the USA from corrosion-resistant polycarbonate, which is clear to allow you to monitor the o-ring seal and maintain a full view of the camera. The built-in, flat glass port accommodates the camera's lens, and also accepts optional, external wide-angle and macro add-on lenses. Expand your system by adding an optional Ikelite AF35 AutoFlash strobe, which features a flex arm and mounts onto the grip handle of an optional tray. This external strobe is triggered as a slave by the firing of the camera's built-in flash and replicates TTL exposure. Additionally, two fiber optic ports on top of the housing enable strobe attachment via optional Ikelite, Sea&Sea and Olympus-type cables.
Canon's PowerShot G16 digital camera is a compact, advanced point-and-shoot featuring a 12.1MP 1/1.7" CMOS sensor and DIGIC 6 image processor to produce high-resolution still photos and Full HD 1080/60p video, with notable low-light sensitivity to ISO 12800. Additionally, the processor offers a range of speed-related assets throughout the camera, including a maximum sustained full-resolution continuous shooting rate of 9.3 fps for over 500 shots. The 5x optical zoom lens provides a 35mm-equivalent focal length range of 28-140mm, covering wide-angle to telephoto length perspectives. A maximum aperture of f/1.8-2.8 makes for effective low-light shooting and shallow depth of field. The camera also has a 3.0" 922k-dot LCD monitor and built-in wireless connectivity for Android or iOS mobile device sharing.
