This Ikelite Underwater Housing and Camera Body Kit from B&H Photo bundles the Ikelite 6801.52 waterproof case with the Nikon D5200 digital SLR camera body it houses, enabling you to capture photos and video beneath the surface at a maximum depth of 200'. The housing provides access to all essential camera functions via mechanical push-button and dial controls; the Diopter Adjustment Control, Info Button, Self-Timer and Flash Mode/Compensation buttons are the only inaccessible functions. The shutter and video recording start/stop controls, as well as a large zoom control knob, can all be comfortably reached without removing your hands from the rubberized grip handles. These, along with the tray, allow for ergonomic handling and are removable.
The housing is constructed from durable, clear polycarbonate for corrosion-resistance and visibility of the O-ring seals. It also features a glass optical viewfinder. A lens port is required but sold separately. Ports are available for an array of lenses. You can attach optional external strobes and benefit from TTL flash exposure control by connecting the #4103.51 single or 4103.52 dual sync cords.
The Nikon D5200 digital SLR camera features a 24.1MP DX-format CMOS sensor and EXPEED 3 image processor for high-resolution photos, Full HD 1080 video recording at 60 fps, exceptional low-light sensitivity to ISO 25600, and fast continuous shooting at up to 5 fps. A 39-point autofocus system enables the D5200 to acquire precise focus quickly across the image frame, and nine cross-type points are centrally located to give even more accurate focusing abilities. Image playback and live view monitoring is possible with the 3.0", 921k-dot LCD monitor, which features tilt and swivel capabilities for better use at high or low angles. For eye-level viewing, a pentamirror optical viewfinder is built in.
