This is a must have accessory for macro-photography. It allows you to mate a normal lens onto a telephoto lens for easy, high-quality close-up pictures. I mated a 50mm normal lens with a 55mm filter to a 105mm telephoto lens with a 58mm filter thread. This gave me a 2X life size sharp image that I works with auto focus and TTL metering.
The threads fit well and do not jam and allow you to seperate the lenses easily when dissasembling. There is not much that can go wrong with this accessory and it should serve a lifetime.

This macro ring allows me to attach my older 135mm Canon FD lens to my Digital Canon S5 Hood to take extremely clear and Magnified nature photos. Functionality is perfect to allow the lense to thread on the camera in reverse just like another filter.
