The black 64GB VivoTab Note 8 Multi-Touch 8" Tablet from ASUS features an 8" LED-backlit IPS touchscreen, allowing you to take full advantage of the multi-touch gestures found in Windows 8.1. The screen has a 16:10 aspect ratio and a 1280 x 800 native resolution for high-definition video and picture quality.
The VivoTab Note 8 comes with an included Wacom Stylus. The Wacom Stylus works with the 8" touchscreen, providing up to 1024 levels of pressure sensitivity. This allows you to draw and write with precision. Using Wacom's EMR technology, the VivoTab Note 8 provides high precision and pressure sensitive control.
The system is powered by a quad-core 1.33 GHz Intel Atom BayTrail-T Z3740 processor. It also has 2GB of LPDDR3 RAM, 64GB eMMC flash storage, 802.11a/b/g/n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, a 5-megapixel rear camera, a 1.2-megapixel front camera, a Micro USB 2.0 port, a 3.5 mm headphone and microphone combo jack, an integrated microphone, and built-in stereo speakers with ASUS SonicMaster technology. Microsoft Office Home & Student Edition 2013 is also pre-installed on the VivoTab Note 8.
Windows 8.1 (32-bit) is the installed operating system. Windows 8.1 improves the user experience of Windows 8 with several additions and changes. The Start button returns, but has two limited core functions. A left click takes you to the redesigned Start screen featuring tiles that update in real-time. A right click brings up an advanced menu where you can access the Device Manager, Control Panel and more. You will also be able to boot directly to the traditional desktop screen instead of the Windows 8.1 Start screen. Windows 8.1 provides a unique user experience that differs from previous versions of Windows.
