The LH1462001 16-Channel 2TB HDD DVR with 8 Outdoor Night Vision Cameras from Lorex gets your surveillance system started with a 16-channel DVR equipped with a 2TB SATA HDD. There are two SATA ports that support up to 2TB each, so you can upgrade your memory later to 4TB. You also get eight outdoor day/night cameras. Additional cameras can be added later, including a PTZ, depending on your needs.
This full pentaplex operational DVR supports up to 960H resolution at 30fps per channel and H.264 compression. This allows you to record in an aspect ratio to match wide-screen TVs and monitors, with smooth video live-view and playback, while conserving bandwidth and HDD space. For viewing purposes it has HDMI, VGA, and BNC video outputs. If you want multiple monitors, the DVR can simultaneously send the video-out signal to all three ports.
Recording modes are selectable per-channel, as well as the resolution, quality, and frame rate. You can choose from motion-detection, continuous, scheduled, and alarm. There are eight alarm-in terminals for exterior appliances like PIRs or door/window contacts, or to wire the DVR into an alarm panel. This allows you to have the DVR start recording when the alarm panel goes off, or to trip the panel when the DVR detects something. This integration optimizes coverage and security. Four audio-in channels let you wire external microphones or audio-capable cameras, and a single audio-out port enables you to wire external speakers or enunciators. You can also use these ports to wire the DVR into a PA system.
When connected to the Internet, the DVR is remotely accessible from anywhere. On a computer, you access it through any web browser and there are free Android, iOS, and Windows apps for mobile devices. The apps support multi-camera viewing as well as PTZ control with compatible cameras. With proper access permissions, full pentaplex operation is available remotely, including remote backup of files. Automatic email alerts can also be sent when certain event happen, with still-images attached.
The eight outdoor cameras are compatible with the high-resolution capabilities of the DVR. Its 1/3" sensor features the BrightNight system for low-light performance. The camera is capable is capturing 960H resolution images to match the DVRs aspect ratio, at 700TVL for clear and crisp images in all light. An 18-IR LED emitter array set up around the lens provides 130' night vision range. Its polycarbonate housing is lightweight, and impact and temperature resistant. It's also IP66 rated to be weather and dustproof. With an operating temperature range of -22 to 122°F, the camera is ready for year-round performance. Each camera comes with 60' of pre-terminated video/power cable to facilitate installation, and two 4-to-1 power adapters, reducing the number of outlets required to run all eight cameras.
