Functional unless using lens hood

This is the lens cap that comes with nearly all Canon glass. The only problem is you can't actually remove the stupid thing from the Canon 50mm f/1.4 if the hood is on. Nearly all aftermarket and Nikon lens caps have a center and outside pinch method and those work much better. Replacing all my canon caps with aftermarket (I refuse to use Nikon ones) ones saves your fingers and sanity in the field.

Same as OEM. Can't say more than that. It's the right size for those that want to put a lens cap on the G12's filter adapter. It makes the G12 look like miniature SLR!

This is the lens cap that comes with nearly all Canon glass. The only problem is you can't actually remove the stupid thing from the Canon 50mm f/1.4 if the hood is on. Well worth it to stick to the Canon snap on cap over cheaper generic brands. When you buy the Canon brand caps in store they seem to grossly over charge, but B&H prices are fair and square as always : >

When I was in Vegas, a camera store over there asked me x3 the price at Bhphotvideo; a famous camera store in South CA sells this for x2 the price here also! I know exactly where should I shop for the cap if I lose it again!
