The ECO4 Stratus 8-Channel 1TB HDD DVR with 8 Day/Night Cameras Surveillance System from Lorex features a LH1581001 8-Channel fully-featured DVR with an installed 1TB HDD and surveillance software, and eight CVC7711 weather and vandal-resistant day/night cameras. The DVR has full pentaplex functionality, allowing you to simultaneously record, view, playback, backup, and view remotely, and access all administrative functions. The menu-driven system enables fast set-up, and easy usability. Eight cameras are included with this system. There is also the ability to record audio on all channels, as well as Pan/Tilt/Zoom (PTZ) control.
The system is password-controlled that lets multiple users, with multiple levels of access, use the system, while ensuring the security of critical files. With the ability to be connected to the Internet, you can remotely access all the functions, including PTZ control, of the DVR on a Mac or Android device with the free app installed.
To maximize your hard drive space, you can adjust the recording resolution and customize the recording time. Choose continuous recording, timed, or when motion or alarms are detected. You can also program the DVR to over-write when the hard drive is full, or at pre-determined periods. An alarm can be programmed to alert you when the DVR capacity is nearing the limit, allowing you to back up any files before they get over-written.
The cameras are IP66 rated for outdoor use and feature durable polycarbonate housings. The cable pass-through mounting brackets ensures there are no hanging wires, and protects them from being cut. A ball-head design lets them be mounted on a counter, ceiling, or wall, and precisely positioned for optimizing their field of view. These are true day/night cameras. In daylight, they transmit in color, in low light they automatically switch to black-and-white. In extreme darkness, infrared LED emitters provide virtually invisible light. Night viewing distances can reach up to 130' with some ambient light, in complete darkness, the cameras can still capture images out to 90'.
