The Blue Iris Professional Surveillance Software for Windows CD-ROM from Foscam allows you to view and record video with up to 64 IP, web, or DVR/CCTV-based cameras simultaneously, and is compatible with the vast majority of IP camera and DVR brands, as well as video servers. Turn your existing Windows PC into a full-featured professional video surveillance system. The software takes advantage of H.264 video compression, allowing you to save hard drive space and reduce bandwidth consumption.

Videos can be captured in MPEG, Windows Media (WMV), or MP2TS format, while still images may be captured as JPEGs or MJPEGs. The efficient Blue Iris DVR file format allows time-slip viewing. Benefit from continuous loop recording, scheduled recording, and advanced motion/audio detection recording with the ability to send alerts by email, instant message, text message, phone call (with automatic redial), loudspeaker, or external program/script. Plus, DirectX integration provides smooth digital scaling, and DirectShow integration offers optimal capture performance. The built-in web server enables web-casting of all cameras simultaneously with digital zoom and pan/tilt capability. The program code is multi-threaded, optimized and rigorously tested to produce the best possible performance.

You can overlay the current date/time, a logo, text, or alpha-blended graphics onto your video. Additionally, if you are able to stream audio from your camera into Blue Iris, that sound may be recorded, web-cast, and used for triggering alerts. Use a timer to determine when the system is armed. Run Blue Iris as a Windows service so that only you have control over its operation on a shared PC. All passwords are encrypted for security. Take advantage of step-by-step setup instructions and full technical support by email, as well.

Simultaneous 64-Camera Viewing/Recording
Allows you to view and record video with up to 64 IP, web, or DVR/CCTV-based cameras simultaneously. Turn your existing Windows PC into a full-featured professional video surveillance system. Use generic BT848/878 video cards or the recommended 4-channel PV149 and 8/16-channel Hikvision DS-40xx cards. The program code is multi-threaded, optimized and rigorously tested to produce the best possible performance. If you are able to stream audio from your camera into Blue Iris, that sound may be recorded, web-cast, and used for triggering alerts.
File Formats
The software takes advantage of H.264 video compression, allowing you to save hard drive space and reduce bandwidth consumption. Videos can be captured in MPEG, Windows Media (WMV), or MP2TS format, while still images may be captured as JPEGs or MJPEGs. The efficient Blue Iris DVR file format allows time-slip viewing, meaning you can go back and view previously-recorded parts of a video while recording is still in progress.
Types of Recording
Benefit from continuous loop recording, scheduled recording, and advanced motion/audio detection recording. You can set the software to start/stop recording at any time of day.
Alerts
You have ability to send alerts by email, instant message, text message, phone call (with automatic redial), loudspeaker, or external program/script.
Overlays
You can overlay the current date/time, a logo, text, or alpha-blended graphics onto your video.
Security Features
Use a timer to determine when the system is armed. Run Blue Iris as a Windows service so that only you have control over its operation on a shared PC. All passwords are encrypted for security.
Integration with other Programs
DirectX integration provides smooth digital scaling, and DirectShow integration offers optimal capture performance. DirectShow is used to playback MP4 and WMV within the software and to interface with USB and analog devices. A non-network web cam would require a DirectShow driver.
Built-In Web Server
Enables web-casting of all cameras simultaneously with digital zoom and pan/tilt capability. This means that live recording/video feed can be viewed over Internet connection, and you can receive group views instead of having to stream from each camera independently.
Help
Take advantage of step-by-step setup instructions and full technical support by email, as well.
