This cap is made of tough plastic and does what its supposed to do--protect my lens and UV filter from getting smudged or scratched. I'm using it on my Olympus Zuiko 28mm 2.8 pancake lens because the metal screw on lens cap it came with takes too long to remove and attach. Even though this combined with a UV filter does make the pancake lens a bit bigger, its totally worth it because of the protection it offers.

I have a P&S camera that I keep in the car for various opportunities. Unfortunately I lost the original lens cap. This cap has good springy-ness to use on the outside of the lens barrel.
Lens cap does have a tendency to "hang" with the grippers pressed all the way in.

Fits my Nikon 50mm rangefinder lens well. Construction quality is not on par with modern caps from Nikon lenses, but it does function acceptably.

Comments about General Brand 43mm Snap-On Lens Cap:
The tabs that snap into the lens threads are rounded and poor quality so that the cap easily falls off. General construction is very cheap.

Comments about General Brand 43mm Snap-On Lens Cap:
I never envisioned there was such a thing as an unusable lens cap. But the spring tabs do not extend by the springs. Simply incredibly poor manufacturing tolerances.
If you buy one, make sure you have a bit of gaffers tape to hold it onto the front of the lens.

Comments about General Brand 43mm Snap-On Lens Cap:
The cap has excellent holding power into the lens filter threads. It releases ok (now)when needed. The only problem was a stickiness in the release mechanism. I had to use silicon spray and several actuations so the cap release would spring back to normal. Otherwise, ok.

Comments about General Brand 43mm Snap-On Lens Cap:
Bought this for my 514XL Canon Super8 camera. Works perfectly and is protecting my lens. No frills, nothing fancy. It's not heavy duty so I wouldn't buy this expecting it to last forever.
Thank you lens cap.

Great, inexpensive protection.
As it does not attatch to the camera ( except to clip on the lens), buy two in case you lose one!

When I push the two buttons in to release from lens the buttons get stuck pushed in.
A couple of times I was wondering why the lens cap would not stay on. I noticed that the buttons were stuck. I'll be buying a different one.
