The Ikelite Underwater Housing with Sigma DP3 Merrill Compact Digital Camera Kit from B&H Photo bundles Ikelite's #6101.02 Housing with the compatible Sigma DP3 Merrill digital point-and-shoot camera. Benefit from the ability to capture sharp, detailed still photos and 640 x 480 video at a maximum depth of 200'.
The housing's large, ergonomic mechanical controls enable access to all camera functions. Built for durability, the enclosure is designed, constructed, and tested in the USA. It's manufactured from acrylic and corrosion-resistant polycarbonate, which are clear to allow you to monitor the o-ring seal and maintain a full view of the camera. The integrated flat glass lens port has a 3.9" diameter and accepts optional, external wide-angle and macro add-on lenses and color-correction filters. The housing features an electrical hot shoe and a waterproof Ikelite 5-pin bulkhead sync connector for direct attachment of optional, external Ikelite or non-Ikelite DS series strobes via sync cords, which are available separately. Manual exposure settings must be used because TTL flash exposure is not supported. Additionally, the housing includes a tray with a grip for improved handling and lighting arm attachment.
The Sigma DP3 Merrill Compact Digital Camera features a 46MP, APS-C, Foveon X3 Direct image sensor and a Dual TRUE II image processing engine for high-resolutions still images, 640 x 480 video recording, and continuous shooting at 4.0 fps in RAW format. The sensor employs three layers of vertically stacked receptors to enable striking color accuracy and image sharpness. The DP3 is equipped with a 50mm prime lens, which offers a 35mm-equivalent focal length of 75mm and a fairly fast f/2.8 aperture for effective low-light shooting and shallow depth-of-field. The manual focus ring gives you a high degree of control over your compositions. Additionally, the camera provides a 3.0", 920k-dot LCD monitor.
