The housing's large, ergonomic mechanical controls provide access to all camera functions except the flash switch. Built for durability, the housing is designed, constructed, and tested in the USA. It's manufactured from corrosion-resistant polycarbonate and acrylic, which are clear to allow you to monitor the o-ring seal and maintain a full view of the camera. The integrated, 3.9" / 99mm diameter flat glass lens port is designed to accept optional wide-angle and macro add-on conversion lenses and color-correction filters. Built-in TTL circuitry and a sync cord bulkhead connector allow for TTL exposure with optional Ikelite DS Substrobes. Non-Ikelite strobes are also compatible, though they will afford manual exposure only. Additionally, dual ports are provided for the connection of 2 Ikelite, Sea & Sea, or Olympus-type fiber-optic cables.
The Canon PowerShot G1 X Mark II Digital Camera features a 12.8MP, High-Sensitivity, 1.5" CMOS image sensor and DIGIC 6 image processor for high-resolution still photos, full HD 1080p video recording at 30 fps, low-light sensitivity to ISO 12800, and a full-resolution continuous shooting rate of 5.2 fps. The 24-120mm f/2-3.9 Zoom Lens (35mm equivalent) provides wide-angle to telephoto coverage and a fast maximum aperture that enables effective low-light shooting and shallow depth of field. The camera is equipped with a 3.0", 1040k-dot, tilting touchscreen LCD. Built-in Wi-Fi connectivity allows for the instant sharing of images to linked mobile devices, home computers, or social networking sites. Connection is further simplified through NFC technology to streamline the sharing process. Once linked, mobile devices can also be used to control the camera remotely.
